There is only one: Water Dog by Richard Wolters

Older book but still applicable. He has a series of books for different uses of labs but his training methods apply for just house dogs as well. Even if you don't hunt them, these books still work as they are happiest if you just teach them simple working tasks like retrieving. This guy really understands labs from a lifetime of XP.

Yep, water dog and gun dog are fantastic books for beginners learning to train labs. Hell, I used most of the basic techniques on my dobermans.
