Personally I don't think has played that well. He is a sure tackler, but there are times when he definitely has problems covering people.

He was very good yesterday. I don't know if it was just me but for about two series of downs durning the second quarter (I think) LSU looked like the LSU defense of old. I thought I saw a huge wake up on defense and then it went away.

Did y'all think the same thing?

but atleast he's a true freshman who will improve...unlike chris hawkins who still sucks, and someone give jai eugene his towel back

The word "good" cannot be used to describe anyone, coach or player, associated with the LSU defense, until further notice.

It is possible that one or more players or coaches did not or do not suck quite as bad as the rest of them, but none of them are "good".

PP and Alem are two of the few bright spots on defense this year.

Man I almost rather put him at FS (like Tenn with Berry). Eugene and Hawkins haven't been that bad--not as bad as the safeties anyway.

Our defense will play lights out next year! This was a learning year for our young new comers.

Next year's OL will be the key.

Personally, you've been a douchebag in just about everyone of your posts so I'll take what you say with a grain of salt. PP was money yesterday until the coaches decided to blitz him and put our safeties in one on one coverage.

If anyone payed attention to what I posted during the spring I said that P. Peterson, then P. Johnson, would likely not start this year, much likely play.

At this point in the season our best corners have been:
P. Peterson
J. Eugene
C. Hawkins

D. McCray

IMHO FWIW Peterson should be the starter.

I've been impressed with Harry Coleman thus far. Against Florida he was the only reason they didn't put up 60+ and he has made some big hits this year.

Wrong. While I believe our problem is a systematic one, I think it is worth pointing out guys who are playing well...specifically:

Alem
Harry Coleman
Riley
Peterson (for a true freshman)

Bad:
McCray
Jai
Most of the d-line (DT's in particular)
