Check out Waxahatchee (so. of Arlington), Canyon (so. of Amarillo), maybe San Antonio and the environs near-by, TX Hill Country smaller towns for options. Safe, good schools, amenities there or near. I live in Mansfield…already too close to DFW, but not totally wrecked yet.
