He could have said, “ our tackles need to play better or get replaced, our dline and linebackers need to wrap up, our punt returner needs to catch punts or get replaced, our kick blocking is atrocious”

Exactly. What is he supposed to say without throwing some folks under the bus completely? It's not his fault we cannot field a punt, make a PAT and other things. He inherited the weakest team talent wise since Saban.
