Next time it slows down check how much RAM is being used. With Windows 10 the slowdown seems to happen around 80%. That's when it uses the hard drive to supplement the RAM and slows to a crawl.

It's also closing all your programs and clearing your RAM when you do this. If you are using in the ballpark of 80% RAM next time it slows down you have 2 choices. Add more RAM (not always an option with laptops), or close out some apps or restart your computer.

You bought an I3 processor which will be the bottom of the barrel. Only thing you can do is add more ram or change to an ssd or m2 disk for the hard drive.
