You are correct, but do you think that every truly horrendous act - like a mother killing 3 young children - can be explained by mental illness?
Personally, I think that there is evil in the world, and sometimes it manifests itself in terrible acts of violence.
And in case you were wondering, I am not very relig ious.

I think satan possesses certain people who are not filled with Faith and he kills and perverts human life in any way he can. The way some people hurt kids and sexually abuses children is beyond logical.

People are people. Some good, some bad, some very bad. There's not much else at play here.
