I don't have any experience with one but I've heard that your yard needs to be free of obstructions (sticks, branches, toys, etc.). Kinda like a roomba inside your house.
I would think that one of those would have a maximum area it can handle. If a yard is big enough... it may take more than one?

Also, I purchased a cub cadet a couple months ago, ZTR 50", and really like it. I think I paid ~$3800

Where did you get the Cub Cadet? I'm in Mandeville, there doesn't seem to be a dealer nearby and I'd rather have a local contact.
