In Georgia, you have the right to defend yourself or others if you feel your life is in danger with any means necessary. Where in the story did the guy do anything that didn’t show he stood the ground based on GA law?

The cops could have taken all his information and let him walk away that day. They did not need to arrest him and take him to jail. If they investigated and found reason to believe it wasn’t standing ground, then they could go and arrest him
