Just looked up their 10 year avg highs and their August is similar to April and October in Louisiana. May is similar to March and November here. I definitely don't see AC as a health issue, maybe a comfort issue due to acclimation to the cold but not health issue. Heating I would definitely rule as a health issue, but not AC.
