My dad used to take me there. It was a who's who of LSU and elected officials going in and out of those chairs. I remember seeing Woody Dumas, Press Maravich, and Joe Dean in there at times.
Joe, the owner would cut dad's hair, and Mr. Gene, who hated kids would cut mine, cussing like a sailor and generally being unpleasant all the while. Good times!
