He was more worried about chasing skirt and he needed to go, but he somehow didn't even have a losing regular season and beat aTm in his last game. Curley Hallman almost killed the program. He had no success and made it a miserable experience. Ed O just fell off the mountain after he reached the top.

This! Ed didn't know how to handle success. It's one thing to grind your way to the top of the mountain, and something totally different once you are there. He fell into the common trap of forgetting what got him there. He made bad hires, and when things went sideways, he tried to bull his way through it. I am proud of O, for the successes he had, but it was time for him to go.
