Although he was a 3 year starter,…….he was in a really shitty situation at ASU riding in Herm Edwards sinking ship.
Maybe he was just betting on himself.
If the stars align(decent o-line, excellent wide receivers, good run game), he can make himself a national name and show some NFL scouts what he can do with a good a supporting cast against some great SEC defenses.
I don’t think it was “his job to lose”. I think he just wanted a fresh start and a prime opportunity.
