I'd be curious to read an explanation of this. Just looking at the words, I interpret it to mean "you can stay in the Air Force (Active) Reserve, and we'll pay you, but you won't accumulate any more 'points' toward retirement."

Trying to parlay that into massive Yankee dollars seems like the obvious play. The cultural difference is real, though.

IDK if you ever thought about becoming a Command Chief, but the type of BS you'd have to deal with in the corporate world is probably similar to that. That is my wild-arse guess.
