People generally don’t fire people that they like.

Don’t backstab people that you’re in an “alliance” with. Be comfortable letting them have the credit.

Take time to build a network below you on the food chain.

Speak softly and carry a big stick. Know when you’re in high leverage situations and save your bravado for those occasions.

Microsoft is your best friend.

Always poop on work time.

I have to bring my own Charmin to do that. Toilet paper here is like single ply sandpaper.

Advice: Don't work at a company with nepotism, run away as fast as you can.

The President of the company and his two sons work here, One of the VP's and his two sons that work here and the other VP has one son that works here. The pays great but its pure hell dealing with daddy's boys and their lack of work ethics & effort.

The only thing you “owe” your employer is to do a good job.

The power of a professional and good attitude cannot be understated.

I can teach you how to do just about anything, but I can't teach you how to be a good person to work with, that's on you.

Never show your frustration or lose your cool. Bring solutions, not problems.

When you have a presentation the next day for out of town Brass, do not go out drinking with your friends all night long. And do not walk into the local Waffle House for that 6 AM meal and see them all staring at you.
