Actually got to visit with that beautiful girl before her concert in Auburn, Spring 1977. Was at the Auburn Airport, just finished a cross-country flight, working on my Private license. She landed in a Learjet from Atlanta for her concert later that night. We talked for a few minutes, even more beautiful in person, really personable and out-going. This 20 year old already had 5 year crush going, made my year! Went to the concert that night, fantastic!!
Made a beeline for the Airport afterward, hoping to see her off. They arrived about 10 minutes later, but had a mechanical issue with the jet, and delayed their departure about an hour. We got to hang around and talk to her in the pilot's lounge. A truly, genuine beauty, great person. She talked horses, her secret desire to be a veterinarian, and tired of the hectic schedule. Asked where I was from, talked about my own horses back in Moss Bluff, LA. She talked like we had been friends for years, seemed to enjoy the conversation as much as I certainly did. Rest in peace, Olivia. You will always have a piece of my heart.
