I don't know why I never checked Collins out before. I think it was the lack of attention maybe that the previous staff seemed to give him. Or maybe it was him being a Purdue recruit just suggested to me that he wasn't SEC material. I must say that I am very impressed with his HUDL tape. His tape is easily as impressive as the other top quarterbacks I have watched. (I'm no expert)

Hope he becomes a Tiger!!

He’s easily a 5 star. Super underrated. His play backs it up, no reason he shouldn’t be a 5 star

His tape

People confuse kids “tape” with their “highlight reels”

These kids get ranked and scouted on actual tape, camps etc, not just a few shots of the best throws of their high school days, which they upload to hudl and such. I’m not taking anything away from Collins, but any of the top qbs all have amazing highlight reels

Purdue isn't called the "Cradle of Quarterbacks" for nothing. Granted, most of that history is the distant past, as they only have 1 QB currently in the NFL.

A good friend of mine is a Purdue grad and he is not happy about this but understood they had no chance of keeping him when LSU came knocking.

I’m pretty sure he didn’t even throw for 2k yards last year. He may end up be very good, but it is unbelievably biased to suggest he should be a 5* after watching a 4 minute highlight reel.

Have you seen Arch Manning’s stats? Recruiting rankings are biased.

He's still kind of a project, but has a very good upside. The 5* rating is very generous IMO at this point.

How good of an athlete is he? In the highlight I watched it was all (great) throws and no running.

I have seen him play in person. Has very good mobility and throws a great deep ball. He made 3 great 20 plus runs and had had 3 great TD passes
