My point was it could be a completely unassuming person, not a black lesbian WNBA player who hated America, and we'd still all be like, "oh, that sucks...what's for dinner?" Meaning, sure you "care" but you don't spend more than 1 second on the topic before you shuffle on to the next one. That's normal, that's what we all do...or 99.9999999% of us. That was my point. She may not have articulated it very well, but that's all Diggins was saying. She was saying this wasn't some stranger to her like Griner(or whoever it could hypothetically be) is to all of us, this is a teammate/close friend. Again, not the best look of a thing to say out loud, but I don't really get up in arms about someone saying that "controversial" thing when it's a thing we all agree with or do.
