Man,that’s an awful story.Hope you make a full recovery.

Back in the early 2000’s I needed rotator cuff surgery.One my co-workers husband had the surgery and got MRSA infection.Went through hell with it,had to have port like chemotherapy and antibiotics at home.He eventually recovered.
I backed out of the surgery,I suffered with it for months but eventually recovered after I retired.

I have a PICC line and have to give myself an IV antibiotic treatment every day. Before they identified the bacteria I had to give myself two different IV antibiotic treatments daily. It really sucks but could have been much worse.
