Not as good a city as Colorado Springs or Castle Rock. They’ve let Denver go to shite. Downtown Denver is nice, but overrun by bums. The airport is about 30 miles from downtown. Colorado Springs is much nicer.

This is true. My company is based in tech center and all my buddies live south or south west towards Colorado Springs
They never go to downtown Denver. Plenty to do in Colorado Springs and you still have quick access to all the skiing hotspots. Also just hit the loop for Red Rocks
