Cherry Tree - Fungus?

I have 3 trees about 20 ft apart, not near touching. The middle one has this going on, the other 2 do not. They get full sun, are on a pretty decent slope. It has rained a good amount the past 2 weeks, but hardly at all before that to the point I was deep watering all of my trees once a week. Fungus or maybe just the way it is dealing with weather? I want to treat it ASAP if necessary.

Maybe the leaf tips did in the nasty dry heat and they are just rotting off like this? Even so, if that brings a fungus maybe I should treat it.

I don’t know what the cherry tree has, disease or environmental, but send your photos to Dr. Raj Singh, extension plant pathologist and director of the plant disease diagnostic lab with the LSU AgCenter. LINK.
Include variety of cherry tree, ornamental I assume, age of tree, etc. If it’s something common with cherry or related trees he’ll likely will be able to ID from the photos. He’s usually quick to respond unless he’s on vacation, traveling. ….
