Only when it happens to you being herded off after 1.5 hours, sitting in what feels like a holding cell for another 1.5, with very little info and finally departing 5 hours after your initial departure time when it's all the fault of the airlines feels like a little more than a "bad day".

All I want to it be honest with me. Tell me it's gonna be a while. Tell me I'm on my own if I leave. Yes, I get that people are idiots and will scatter. I get the logistics after 35 years of a job that requires travel. The problem is that you a literally at the mercy of what they decide to do with you and have no choice at all...no ability to make any decision as to other modes of travel or other carriers.
