Genetics, of course. Either of your parents have issues? My son is in his early twenties and is beginning to have the same issues that I have/had, and it breaks my heart.

Yes, my mom was bi-polar.
I really fear my son is going to inherit my genes. I'm like please just let it skip him.
But you know what, because of all the crap, I'm really well aware and in my opinion a good advocate for mental health. It's kind of embarrassing to say I wanted to commit suicide here, but I like to share in case it ever helps one person even. Because I'm still here.
