The 18 isn’t really the amazing number though It’s 37 or 56 That number will never be approached.

These numbers say as much about Jack as they do about the fields he competed against.

Tiger completely changed the sport. Purses are what they are because of Tiger.

Even with his injuries and issues, Tiger Woods has won nearly 23% of the tournaments he has entered. That’s just silly.

At one point in time, Tiger won 7 of 12 majors, including 4 in a row. Then, a few years later - he won 5 of 12. All the while, in that same time period, Tiger won 58 tournaments out of 170 starts.

That’s a 34% win percentage.

So no, We won’t see anyone break 18. Jack will go down as the greatest major champion ever.

But we will never see another Tiger Woods.

Didn’t Jack face off against some of the best of all time?

I mean, between his first and last major, there were some REALLY big names that also won multiple majors:

Arnold Palmer - 3
Gary Player - 7
Lee Trevino - 6
Tom Watson - 7
Raymond Floyd - 4
Seve Ballesteros - 4
Hale Irwin - 2
Dave Stockton - 2
Fuzzy Zoeller - 2
Julius Boros - 2
Andy North - 2

Tigers list is impressive as well.

The reality is, it is hard to compare them.

I will leave it at this...

Jack is the most accomplished golfer of all time.

The best, who knows. Tied?
