The only real argument is that the cold rain when the temps are in low 30s is worse than than snow and I can generally agree with that.

But you don't get the crap weather for the length of time we do in the south, assuming you hate hot, ball sweat from satan, weather.
There's a reason why people say they enjoy four seasons, which don't exist in the south.
