Was there never a trial?

There was. He was acquitted (which you probably know but you’re “playing dumb”). Like most police who are charged with crimes. I’m not sure that’s the dunk you think it is.
Acquitting someone of a crime for which they are guilty doesn’t make our country better. But the police officer got to go home to his wife and his AR-15 that was inscribed with “you’re fricked.”

No, I'm honestly dumb. I've never heard of this case before.

And he got to be medically retired and collects a paycheck for the rest of his life for...his heroic service?

Medically retired, from what, PTSD from murdering someone, or because he was acquitted for mental capacity, or what?

I want to see the blood and guts version of this video.
Where it left off, the guy was crawling on his hands and knees and then sort of trailed off to his right, and not toward the officer, I want to see if he was actually going for something in his pants. I find it hard to believe the cop just unloaded on him for just crawling on his hands and knees. That doesn't make sense, he wouldn't have been acquitted for that.
Also, what was the call for? Loud ruckus in a hotel room, or something crazier? Cops don't generally show up in SWAT form for a hotel noise disturbance. What did the cops think they might be walking into based on the call to potentially justify the way they handled the situation?

Apparently both, although I don't believe the department ever specifically confirmed the reason because of privacy laws.

Zachary Hammond
The cop was afraid the kid was going to run over him, but the fat arse LEO was not in danger until he willingly jumped IN FRONT of the kid's car and opened fire. He just used that excuse to murder that boy.
