The difference is that we've never really seen KD get frustrated or unable to get a bucket. If nothing else, KD is a great jump-shooter, and with his height and long arms, he's shooting on anybody.
LeBron has had occasions where it looks like he's frustrated and just has to bully-ball his way to the hoop. Aesthetically, he looks like there are situations where he can't quite cope compared to KD.
I'm more a fan of old-school basketball, but I still rank KD as the best scorer of all time based on what I've seen.
