This is truly bizarre, considering that:

*LSU will have one of the best D-lines and front 7s in the SEC, if not the country.

*LSU has THREE returning QBs with starting experience, one who is practically a fast RB, one who lit up 2020 until he hurt his hip, and a 3rd who has filled in as a starter and shown great potential. Not to mention maybe the top HS QB in the country probably redshirting in '22

*LSU is absofrickinglutely LOADED at WR and RB. Loaded.

*Brian Kelly. We know he can coach and win in D1 and P5, now we see he can recruit too.

The only question marks are:
* The O-line and TE
* DBs
* Kicking, punting - Special Teams
* New coaching staff, new system, first year org.

Admittedly, those are big question marks. However, LSU has gotten some experienced transfers in for those positions to go with a few returnees, and has highly-ranked kickers coming in.

I realize these are PRESEASON rankings, but I don't see how you can rate this team below #30 based on their returning talent, even in the preseason. I believe this team is going to surprise some people.

My prediction is 8-4 and a medium bowl, but hopefully better.
