I'm tired of the responsible drunk driver being blamed for dumb arse bad luck under the guise that had the driver NOT been drunk, they would have avoided killing the idiot who actually is responsible for the incident.

This just happened to a doctor in Baton Rouge. Minding his own business driving home drunk when an idiot crosses the center line and hits him.
Dr Not at fault for accident but still faces DWI and vehicular manslaughter.

quote:
According to Louisiana State Police, 35-year-old Chenna Nalabolu is being charged—despite not being directly at fault for the deadly wreck—after a breathalyzer test determined his blood-alcohol level was .087 percent, just over the legal driving limit.

Police said the other driver, 22-year-old Summer McKinnon of Walker, was on Nicholson Drive around 3 a.m. when her vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and hit Nalabolu's car.

McKinnon was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and died at a hospital. Nalabolu was not hurt in the crash.

Downvote away but always blaming the barely drunk guy is misguided and stupid.

These aren't the same. As the operator of the boat, you should not allow your passengers to access areas not intended to be in when the boat is underway. Maybe had he not been drinking, he would have had enough sense to not allow them to be there. If he wasn't drunk, he should have still been charged with careless operation and/or worse.

The other incident, I agree is bullshite.
