I expect LSU to be ranked top 3 if they get one or two more elite arms.

LSU may have been ranked top 10 preseason last season, but any honest LSU fan knew starting pitching was a real concern. Still LSU greatly improved from a season prior. To put into perspective LSU was only like 2 SEC wins behind national seed A&M. And that was without our typical SP.

I think defense is equally on the players and would rather have better pitching and hitting. LSU should have a far superior pitching staff next season and equal, if not better, hitting.

I don’t get the concerns when LSU appears to be upgrading all three phases. And even if they only upgrade two I would rather it be pitching and hitting.
