Not compared to other nations. No, I don’t agree. America was an early adopter of rights for minorities. America feed slaves, at great cost of blood and treasure, at a time when slavery was practiced almost everywhere.
In fact, slavery would still be practiced almost universally if it wasn’t for Western Civilization.
