I can only think of Temple being booted from the Big East. Any other examples?

Iowa got booted from the Big Ten for a bit back around the 1920’s I believe.

No chance. Vandy's status as a private school allows the SEC to avoid being hit with FOIA requests.

While on the surface that’s correct, technically there’s ways around that.

Miss state,Vandy,Missouri,South Carolina. Maybe two of these teams will get the boot from the SEC for two big programs.
