I live in a 3 bed house right now that's under 1000 sf. I'm not gonna lie, I wish we had a master bath, climate control laundry and a bedroom big enough for a king bed, but we realized we had way too much junk.
It's even got a carport.

I don't see any need for more than about 1200 sf, unless we had a couple of kids. Even then, maybe 1600. And she works from home.

My boomer dad and I have a lot of disagreements about how much money we make now vs what he made 40 years ago and how far that money goes now vs back then. One thing we agree on is that houses have absolutely blown up in size. It's unreasonable.
