Started on another LSU board. Repeat threads were mocked with other old news items. Like "NASA lands on moon" or "Wheel invented and promises revolution in transportation".

Inevitably that led to "Japan bombs Pearl Harbor" which led to Germans bomb Pearl Harbor and finally Germans.

Interesting. I never cared to ask I just picked up on it and figured the joke was about Germans trying a World War again.

Germany is in an earlier time zone than America, therefore stories would break earlier.

Someone could post a story in Germany, then hours later the same story could be repeated in America.

An American repeat of a “Germans” story.

That’s how I read it when people repeat a story anyway and read the term “Germans”
