you know how the newer cars' engine stops when the vehicle comes to a stop and when you release the brakes it restarts? it's the "re-start" battery, separate from the main battery, located in a wheel well, I think

It's the auxiliary battery. Ours is a 2020. I noticed that start/stop option quit working. Took it in and the battery was bad. It does take hours to change out. But if the battery is good, your start/stop feature will sometimes not work due to it's charging the battery. You can scroll down your menu and it will state that. I did find out that the more that I drive the Jeep, the less amount of times of non function. Hopefully this helps.
