Let’s be honest here y’all, these are for the most part young black kids that for the majority probably don’t come from the a middle class background. The music they listen to, the athletes they are influenced by, the things they see in other mediums all hammer home the idea that it’s all about the money. So likely, 90% of them and most of them at the top end, will only give a frick about the dollar bill at the end of the day.

I don't think you can blame media.

Imagine being a 17 year old and your living in a trailer in the middle of amite. Your food stamp poor and A man from Texas comes in and says "if you play for us we'll buy your momma a house today and give you a $500k in cash so she can retire"

If it's me- frick "state allegiance". Im buying my momma the house.

Kinda like Manning and Curtis. Oh wait they are privileged white boys so they don't have to worry about the money yet they still do. A lot of these kids grow up poor so you are f$%&ing right they worry about the money as they should.
