He does this because of his epic fail reporting last December about Les going to Michigan. he's trying to make up for being a Jimmy Olsen goof.

I have meet Kirk on several occasions in Columbus at different locations. He always speaks highly of LSU and has repeatedly said that "Death Valley" is one of, if not best atmospheres in all of college football. (I just hope one day before I pass, I get to witness a game at LSU.)
Kirk's comments about LSU does not surprise me one bit.

lsu has a lot to prove. so i could understand them being ranked like 20th. however i find it highly hypocritical because of the rankings of previosu champions in the past

herbie was also saying LSU was one of the most likely to lose yesterday vs SCU

Well, don't be bashful.......find some time to catch a game during this upcoming homestand! Once you do, you'll be addicted.

Meh, I'm not sure how much support he actually gave us. Truth is, we're only half way into the season, and our SOS in the first half of the season is weak. Our SOS in the second half is really strong so that should help us out as we go into the home stretch.

Lakebound,
I am sure I would get addicted; that is what scares me.
ironsides,
I see your guy's point, I don't know why publicly he does not promote LSU more. I don't think he is hating on LSU; I just think he feels the SEC is too tough and he know how difficult it is to get through it.
I don't care if it is Texas, Oklahoma, USC, Penn State, non of them would go undefeated in the SEC, Period!

As much as I do enjoy making fun of Herbie's epic fail about Coach Miles ... Herbie has always given love to the SEC and is rather fair in his analysis of it.
We shall see what happens, but at the beginning of the year we had all the potential in the world, half way into the season, we still have potential, but now we also have problems, we shall see how it shapes it up the second half.
