Google hub connectivity issues

I’ve had it for a couple years, and Ive never had a connectivity issue. I’ve always had the same wifi…Cox Panoramic Gigablast and location of router and Google Hub have always been in same place.
Yesterday it keeps losing connection to to wifi and displays “check internet connection”. Wifi is fine, all other devices in the house are working fine. When I unplug Hub and plug back in it connects normally for a little while and within a few hours disconnects again. I’ve tried all the basic steps: factory reset, forget device, forget network, re-add, restarted router.
Anyone ever experienced this?

Electronics go bad over time…maybe heat is finally getting to the device. Is there option to hardwire it?
