It kinda was though. If it wasn’t, he would still be here and admin would be ok with him being mediocre. Admin wants championships though. Why would they get rid of him if he was doing a great job?

In no universe is 5 trips to Omaha, a national title, a runner up finish, 4 SEC titles, and 6 SECT titles dog shite for any coach at any program in America. If you want to take his last 3 years and act like that's the types of teams he produced year after year, then you're not even trying to have an honest conversation. Nothing about his full body of work was mediocre, dog shite, or any other over-exaggeration you want to assert

they didn't. he retired. And if you want to say he was pushed out, so were Augie Garrido, Wayne Graham, and a host of other all-time greats.
