Yeah they all dominated the sport completely. They each broke every record and did it against each other. No other sport will ever have that opportunity. These records will stay for the rest of history.

The fact that three different players in the current era all broke the previous record of their contemporaries is akin to a half dozen (or some such, ive lost count) QB's in the past twenty years breaking and re-breaking the major passing records, only to be passed by the next guy who retires a few years later. It doesn't mean they are the greatest QB of all-time, only that they were the greatest QB in a moment in time.

You mean the record (most grand slams) that has been broken by the generations best player(s) for what, four generations? It has been broken so often it will be a record if its not broken.
You want a record that will actually never be broken? If Wayne Gretzky had never scored a single goal, he would still be the NHL's all-time points leader. And I am going to go out on a limb here and state that ice hockey may be slightly more physically demanding than singles men's tennis.
