Reason.com, libertarian site, has an article that makes a case for Republicans doing better since Reagan granted amnesty for a buttload of illegals being granted amnesty. They also post numbers suggesting tax burdens are lower in periods when immigration is up.

Immigrants don’t suck off the teat near as much as we natural borns do. Illegals especially work like hell to help the economy but don’t get social security and other benefits. Often, they pay in via payroll deductions but can’t withdraw. Shake an illegal’s hand for helping with the deficit more than your Uncle Joe and his Medicaid funded nursing home did.
