Howdy. I am looking to find a local carpenter/wood worker that deals with furniture, desks, butcher block etc.
Any recommendations in/around the BR, New Orleans/Metairie, Lafayette, etc. area.
Thanks in advance.

Do they have to work outdoors?

You just outlined the entire I-10 corridor. Thats not local.

Call Riverside Lumber and ask for Martin. They’re a lumber company in Nola that specializes in exotic woods and local stuff as well. Martin makes custom pieces for people, tables and butcher blocks and such. He does amazing work.

My definition of “local” in this instance is more or less where I can drive to go get the finished piece in a relatively short time and not have to have it delivered.

How about you narrow it down to where you actually live.

This is right up my alley.
