Definitely have changed habits. Only meat we plan to buy on shopping trips is ground beef and frozen boneless skinless chicken breast. All other meat is only purchased when Krogers or Brookshires is running a sale or we come across meat being clearances due to usable date. When we come across really good sales I stock up freezer. Bought a few 4 packs of Angus NY Strips today for $5.99 lb regular $11 lb. Bought a skirt steak marked down to 7.99 lb. Last trip picked up 3 chuck roasts that would have been $20 ea for $10 and a big pack of sirloins that was originally marked $35 but had been marked down to about $17 for a sale and then got to last useable day to sale and was clearanced to $8. Split pack in half and froze. Will shave them real thin later for Philly cheesesteaks. Used to buy whatever I wanted when I was ready for it but now forced to look for sales and freeze til I need them.
