The race was ran early though, so while it did hit 90 during the day, it was not 90 when the runner died.

Still pretty hot for this time of year in that part of the country, but it had not hit 90 yet when this occurred.

70s and into the 80s should be okay for a half marathon. I don't think the heat played a factor, hydration maybe.
