I listed it as a reason, not the reason. I mean, JaMarr Chase literally opted out due to Covid.
No other team in the nation had a guy the level of Ja’Marr opt out.
Point is, Covid resulted in some goofy shite happening. So it’s hard to say a team “collapsed” from 19 to 20, when the entire world went stupid.

covid may have been the flimsy excuse but let's call a spade a spade. It was a free pass to save his body for a year and not have to compete so he could just coast til draft time.

so why didn't many more teams in CFB see their win totals drop in half from one year to the next? Bama and UGA didn't seem to be too affected by it.
