#2(This guys son) was scheduled to throw in the finals on Friday Friday game was postponed til Sunday which gave their stud enough rest

Certainly reasonable for the coach to pitch the ace if he was rested and ready.

quote:

Stud went in the finals and threw a complete game (shortened because of run rule) Vandebilt scored several runs (3-4) in the bottom of the last inning to end it, that's another reason #2 didn't pitch once the game was in hand

Again, hard to blame the coach for that. It’s not like he left the ace to throw 9 innings in a game that was out of hand.

Sure, it would have been nice if this kid could have got an inning in late in the game but the mercy rule prevented that. Not sure why dad would be mad at the coach for any of that.

Just be happy they won a state championship and your kid was a major contributor
