Looking ahead to '09

So God willing our DC situation will change before next year. If it does not however, will we be in a similar situation or will seasoned players in key positions on D make a difference? Here is what I mean:
Most of the DBs come back next year and will have a year of PT under their belts. 2/3 LBs will be back next year with game experience plus we should be able to fill in the 3rd LB spot with Baker or someone like that. This will give us experienced pass defenders so that perhaps the scheme the Co-DCs run (relying on DBs) will not be so vulnerable. Combine this with what will surely be a stout DL and I like our chances at having a top notch D again next year. I think the area of concern next year may be OL which could be deadly but hopefully that will be shored up and not a huge problem.
That said, it's October 2008 and we need to stomp some cocks this weekend.
