Just wondering how much taxi fare would be from the New Orleans INT’L Airport to the Superdome for the Saints-Raiders tilt.

Trying to get out of renting a car.

TIA.

quote:

$36.00
Taxi rides cost $36.00 from the airport to the Central Business District (CBD) or French Quarter (west of Elysian Fields) for up to two (2) passengers. For three (3) or more passengers, the fare will be $15.00 per passenger. Taxis are required to accept credit card payments.

Be forewarned....getting a taxi to the dome going to the game shouldn't be an issue other than traffic getting off the interstate and around the stadium if its close to gametime.

After the game its really, really hard to get taxi's and/or uber/lyfts, and when you do you will probably be stuck in traffic getting out of downtown.

Yes, the Poydras exit on I-10 more or less shuts down an hour before gametime. You'll be sitting in standstill traffic for at least 45 mins. Either get into the city well before gametime or, if you don't have a choice and are going straight from the airport to the dome, have the cab driver exit at S. Carrolton and either take Tulane downtown or go Washington to Claiborne (cross over Claiborne) and go left on LaSalle which will take you straight to the dome via Loyola. I've lived uptown for a while and have taken that LaSalle route before Saints games, the LSU natty, final four, etc... and it never fails.

Also want to clarify, if you are coming in town just for the game and staying anywhere in the City close to downtown you should not rent a car. It will likely add 2 hours to your airport arrival and departure due to the location of the car rentals and staying downtown you will have to pay for parking. Uber/Lyft/cabs are better options, and if you need to keep cost down there are cheaper airport shuttles and even an airport bus.
