I like Davis defensively and I like the fact he can actually manufacture tough baskets. I don’t love that he struggled to create clean looks against college comp. It’s only going to be more difficult in the nba.

I almost hate to say it, when I watch him, I get some Nickeil Vibes athletically and efficiency wise.

If we are lucky, maybe he becomes a smaller version of Kyle Anderson. Who is a good defender and relatively efficient offensively ever even though he is slow as shite with no vertical.

Plodding athlete. Going to be hard for him to get to the basket and finish in the nba imo.

I think he’s stronger which helps and his jumper is smoother and he def is a lot better defensively.

But I could see him pretty inefficient offensively due to the lead in his shoes. And I wonder how much his defense will translate against better athletes.

Same thing with Dyson Daniels. Although he’s more of a playmaker for others than a scorer. I have the same concerns about him athletically.

I’d probably lean Mathurin and hope our culture and Willie Green leads him to wanting to compete more on the defensive end.

He has the toolbox. Just needs to utilize it.

This is a pretty good write up. Only thing I would say is that Daniels is allegedly 6’8 now, so he would probably fit the Kyle Anderson comp to a T. I’m curious how bad of a shooter he really is tho. FT% isn’t bad and his form doesn’t look terrible. The biggest concern with him to me is how un-fluid he moves in general. Everything looks so unnatural for him
