Not in the US. Here "progressive" is synonymous with top-down government mandates.

A lot of liberal values work fine in a small community where everybody thinks alike. They work for shite when you have a population more than willing to take advantage of them. Let Iceland import 50,000 ME "refugees" and see how long their progressive attitudes last.
