Carlin did a piece on this in one of his podcasts where he described the Europeans coming to America to a pride of lions that had been hardened and battle tested on the Serengeti finding a mountain pass that opened up to an entire continent of labs, sheep, and the equivalent of a dog that had never truly been challenged.
I thought it was apt.

One of the most absurd leftists tropes is the history of the Indians. They’re portrayed in a completely fantasized manner as people who were wise, peaceful, and one with nature until the evil White Europeans came and stole their land. This Disney Revision of history is false.
The truth of the matter is the tribes of North and South America were a collection of mostly Stone Age Hunter/gather tribes who routinely waged wars of conquest, genocide, slavery, torture, and human sacrifice. Just as the White Europeans broke treaties, so did the Indians. No one’s hand were clean on either side.

Can you recall which one?
